A South Miami man allegedly killed his wife and posted a picture of the dead body on Facebook on August 8.
According to WSVN.com, South Miami Police has confirmed that Derek Medina admitted to shooting and killing his wife Jennifer Alfonso at their home on Thursday morning before he surrendered to the police. Police also confirmed Medina's Facebook page featured images of Alfonso's dead body and messages confessing to the shooting. The image is said to be an accurate photo of the victim based on what she was wearing and how she was found at the scene.
It was reported that a dispute broke out between the Medina and Alfonso which has led to the fatal shooting. Medina allegedly went to his father's home and admitted to shooting his wife before turning himself in to the police.
Police found a young girl around 10 years old inside the house when they arrived. The girl is reportedly the daughter of Alfonso, who was in the house at the time of the shooting but was unharmed.
