VIDEO: MMA fighter convenience store clerk beats up men robbing Houston gas station

Mayura Dissanyake’s day job is to work as a cashier clerk, but this crime-fighting MMA aficionado helped ward off thieves at a convenience store in Houston’s south side on July 10.
The semi-pro fighter saw his co-worker come back from the bank when and get ambushed by two thieves who jumped out of a white SUV. They were trying to grab the bank bag that he had in his hand.
The store’s surveillance cameras were recording while Dissanayake ran outside and beat up the robbers, kicking 33-year-old Odell Mathis in the face before putting him in a submission hold.
The driver of the getaway car and the other suspect drove off. Houston police are still on the hunt for the other suspects.
