Three people were killed in a possible Molotov cocktail fire at a tire shop on Santa Anita Avenue in South El Monte, California early Saturday morning.

Witnesses told local ABC news they saw three men toss Molotov cocktails into the Cheque Tires property around 5:30 a.m. Police are looking for a white Chevy Silverado that the suspects are believed to have fled in.

One man was able to hop a fence and escape the blaze according to L.A. County Sheriff’s Department investigators. Another man was trapped behind a locked chain-linked fence and was engulfed by the flames. Firefighters were unable to cut through the fence in time to save him.
