School bullying: teens at boarding school drug roommate with white powder

It seems like bullying’s steadily becoming more and more of a serious problem in Taiwan in recent years.
Last week, a concerned mother got in touch with officials at her daughter’s junior high school to speak with them about how she was being bullied. The young girl attends a boarding school and lives in the dormitories with three other roommates.
Her roommates apparently took a disliking to her and began bullying her by cutting her out of activities and even going as far as to steal away her friends. It wasn’t until last week, though, that they took things to a whole another level when the teen noticed that her roommates were grinding some pills into a white powder.
When she woke up from a nap, her thermos had been moved and after a quick glance she noticed that there was gritty white powder inside. She panicked, dumped the water and partially dissolved powder.
She started to become progressively more worried that her roommates would continue to play pranks on her and even worried about using her own toothbrush.
She became so paranoid that she broke down and told her mother, who immediately went to school authorities.
The three roommates initially said they had only ground up some candy, then later said it was medicine for a science class, before finally copping to the fact that it had been laxatives.
The mother of the victim doesn’t entirely believe them and has demanded that school authorities do something about the bullying. The parents of the three have been contacted and the three bullies have since been expelled.
Nevertheless, the mother of the victim says she is still transferring her daughter to another school.
