A recent study of dashcam videos shows that distractions, including phones and other passengers, caused more than half the moderate-to-severe accidents involving teen drivers.

Distractions play a bigger role than previously thought in moderate-to-severe car accidents involving teen drivers. 

A recent study has found that distracted driving caused more than half, specifically 58%, of surveyed incidents, which is vastly higher than the 14% estimated by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
