Mercedes-Benz Cars under parent company Daimler AG is among a growing number of automakers that are designing self-driving vehicles. The company recently unveiled its latest experimental car called the ‘F015 Luxury in Motion’.

The self driving vehicle is different than most concepts currently out there, as there are no buttons on the dash. Should a rider wish to drive, it can be controlled by a person’s hand movements, eye tracking and even touch screen technology.

That doesn’t mean an individual has to pay attention to the road for the whole ride though. All four captain’s style chairs can rotate so occupants can interact with one another face to face.

The concept vehicle was shown picking up driver via a Smartphone app.

The doors open from the center without a pillar in the way. Reportedly the windows can act as screens, and touchscreens in the doors allow anyone sitting in the four seats to control the vehicle.

The futuristic looking model has a pair of electric motors, a “hydrogen fuel cell system” and a battery with a range of more than 120 miles.

The Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars commented “The Luxury in Motion is for the individual who wants to retreat to a private place, relieving themselves of the stress and work involved with driving in the ..urban environment .”
