Father of captured Jordanian pilot pleas for son's welfare

Safi al-Kasasbeh recently got some of the worst news any father can receive.

His son -- Muath -- a pilot in the Jordanian military -- reportedly captured Wednesday by Islamic State when his plane went down during a mission in Syria.

Now, al-Kasasbeh prays I-S will treat his son well.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) FATHER OF CAPTURED JORDANIAN PILOT, SAFI AL-KASASBEH, SAYING:

"I do not want to describe him as a hostage, I call him a guest. He is a guest among brothers of ours in Syria's Islamic State. I ask them in the name of God, and I ask with the dignity of the prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him to receive him as a guest at his hosts' and treat him well."

But for now, all he can do is wait.
