Clooney to get DeMille award, Thicke on painkillers during "Blurred Lines"

George Clooney will receive the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. The award honors career achievements in film; recent recipients have included Woody Allen and Jodie Foster. Clooney - a three time Globe winner - will be presented with the trophy at the annual ceremony on January 11.

Robin Thicke was on painkillers and alcohol when he helped create his hit single "Blurred Lines" - that's according to the singer's own deposition in a case brought about by Marvin Gaye's family. Thicke's testimony was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter - he had been questioned by lawyers in a case that alleges the hit song was a rip off of one of Gaye's. Thicke said he was high on Vicodin and alcohol when he recorded the song with Pharrell.
