Hundreds protest Obama deportation policies at ICE, White House

Immigration activists marched through Washington, D.C., on Thursday (August 28), carrying signs and banners to keep immigration reform at the top of the political agenda.

Hundreds of protesters chanted against the deportation practices of the Obama administration on the footsteps of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building and the White House.

About 100 protesters were detained by law enforcement personnel at the end of the rally.

Immigration has propelled itself back into the political spotlight this year with the illegal migration of thousands of unaccompanied minors across the border.
