CAMBODIA - Cambodia: Meeting a survivor of the Khmer Rouge
- 10 years ago
We bring you a special report on one of our top stories: the conviction of two top Khmer Rouge leaders for crimes against humanity. Nuan Chea and Khieu Samphan are the first top leaders to be held accountable for the regime's crimes in the 1970s. As the verdicts were read out, many survivors broke down in tears and hugged their relatives. FRANCE 24's Cyril Payen went to meet a survivor, a man who was just eight years old when he was freed from the infamous S-21 torture centre in Phnom Penh.
