Curse of the Voodoo (1965)

This offbeat low-budget entry in British horror relates the fate of a big-game hunter who foolishly pursues a wounded lion into the land of the dreaded Simbaza, a people who just happen to worship the king of the beasts. The hunter bags his prey, but not without incurring the wrath of the tribal witch-doctor and acquiring a curse that follows him all the way back to London.

The screenplay was written under a pseudonym by Brian Clemens, who would go on to write for and produce TV's "The Avengers", as well as penning such features as "Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde" (1971) and "Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter" (1972).

AKA "Curse of Simba".
