Trucks nearly crash: dash cam video goes viral in Ontario, Canada

A tense dash cam video which captured a near head-on and likely fatal collision between two semi-trailers has gone viral. The chilling 26-second clip shows the near miss involving the two semis and a snow plow on Highway 11, Ontario, Canada. You can hear the original audio in the following recreation.

The dash cam driver had just come out of a corner. A couple of hundred meters away a fully-loaded semi was headed uphill behind a snow plow. And he attempted to overtake the slower vehicle across double yellow lines but aborted at the last second.

The original video was uploaded to YouTube expressly for the purpose of helping find the reckless driver of the oncoming vehicle. We can report that police successfully tracked down a 31-year-old man from Milton, Ontario, who now faces charges.
