Mandela mourners treated to rainbow along hearse route

Mourners lining the route of Nelson Mandela's funeral cortege were treated to a rainbow as they waited for the black hearse to pass on Thursday.
Mandela's remains were brought back to 1 Military Hospital in the South African capital Pretoria where thousands of mourners paid their respects during a second day of lying in state.
People started to queue up as early as 3 am local time near the Union Building to say their final good-bye to the man they call the father of the "rainbow nation".
His body will lie in state for a third day on Friday before being flown to the Eastern Cape, where it will be buried on Sunday at his ancestral home in Qunu, 700 km (450 miles) south of Johannesburg.
The death of Nobel peace laureate Mandela has triggered an outpouring of grief and emotion, combined with celebration and thanksgiving, among his 53 million countrymen and millions more around the world.
