Bhaskar (Nageshwar rao) and Vasanthi (Saroja Devi) are college mates. Bhaskar likes a girl called Vasanthi during their college days. Later on, Geeta (Krishna Kumari) who happens to be Saroja’s sister also starts to like Bhasker who happens to rent out a portion in their house. This movie is an interesting triangle love story between the 3 leads. Saroja realizes that her sister is in love with Bhasker. She sacrifices her love for her sister because of gratitude that she has towards her for bringing her up. She convinces Bhasker and gets them married. And the movie is not yet done, it actually starts from here. After a few years, Geeta suspects her husband and her sister having an affair when the latter comes over to their house for their visit. She asks Saroja to leave the house immediately. Bhaskar gets very furious and scolds Geeta and tells her about her sister’s great sacrifice. Geeta feels extremely guilty and falls sick. She asks Bhaskar to go and search for her sister and then she dies before he finds her. By the time Bhaskar finds Geeta, she unwillingly marries Jaggaiah who is a doctor because she lost her love. This is a very emotional love story and quite tragic. But the movie is amazing with its fabulous songs and scene. A super hit in those times. Watch the movie.. A great movie by Sridhar.
