Pinkie Pie tries to become friends with new Ponyville resident Cranky Doodle Donkey (Richard Newman). However, the donkey absolutely refuses to become friends with her, no matter how hard Pinkie Pie tries. When Pinkie accidentally sets fire to a scrapbook, Cranky demand she leave him alone, and refuses to accept her apology. However, his outcries and the scrapbook give Pinkie an idea, and is able to reunite Cranky with Matilda, another donkey that lived in town. Cranky is amazed to see his love, having lost track of her after a Grand Galloping Gala years ago, and happily thanks Pinkie and calls her his friend, to Pinkie's elation.
