Barbra Streisand touches down in Israel

STORY: Actress, singer and director Barbara Streisand arrived on Sunday (June 16) for a first ever performance in Israel as well as a private concert in Jerusalem to honor President Shimon Peres's 90th birthday.

Local media reported that along with her entourage of about 150 people, Streisand is bringing along her sister, Roslyn Kind and her son, Jason Gould.

As she got out of the plane, she carried her small fluffy white dog in her arms, waved at the cameras and immediately entered a waiting car.

On Monday (June 17), Streisand will be given an honorary degree during the annual Hebrew University International Board of Governors meeting in Jerusalem.

Streisand will perform two concerts in Tel Aviv on June 20 and June 22.

The 70-year-old multi talented star has won two Oscars, one for best actress in "Funny Girl" and another for best original song, "Everg
