Orlando Santos is a Portuguese musician and composer, and one of the best nationals voices. Admirer of Jamaican culture, Orlando Santos dives into territories close to the reggae, rock and soul music. It is one of the few musicians to play so excels the "slide guitar" in Portugal, an instrument that was offered by Ben Harper after a concert in Lisbon.
After many years of music and composition, playing in Clubs and festivals, is preparing to publish his first album "My Soul", where to an extraordinary batch of original songs joins a version of a song by The Melodians, 1972, "Rivers of Babylon ", in which Orlando shows his unusual talent of interpreter. On this album there is a song (Only Love) in duet with Petaah Morgan (http://artistwiki.com/peetah-morgan), singer emerging from Jamaica, a score played by Jamaican musicians.
Orlando Santos is not a beginner in records, because is experience and talent appear in collaborations on the disc "Revistados" of GNR,in which gives voice to the theme "Sexta feira" with Charlie Martinez on keyboards (http://youtu.be/V9s1898RfzI ). Also collaborated with Cool Hipnoise, Kika Santos, Orelha Negra (http://youtu.be/nFS4GonXg64) or the british Up Bustle & Out and the bassist Jim Barr (Portishead).
His compositions are marked by words of hope and love for all beings, where we highlight the concern for nature observation or social transformation.
