A Kiev court has banned what would have been Ukraine's first gay pride event, claiming it would disrupt annual Kiev Day celebrations.
Gay rights activists had planned to hold an Equality March on Saturday but opponents led by the Orthodox Church objected.
Archpriest Georgy Kovalenko of the of Ukrainian Orthodox Church gave the Church's grounds for complaint:
