Mike Kerr

Mike Kerr is a singer & composer from Bangalore. He is best known for being the lead singer for band “Bridge” & the duo project “S&M Project”.

His style is typical of Rock-pop-soul music of the 1980s and is greatly influenced by classic soul music singers such Steve Perry (Journey), Freddie Mercury (Queen), Eric Martin (Mr Big), Joey Tempest (Europe), Dave Coverdale (Whitesnake), Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Tommy Shaw (Styx), Brad Delp (Boston), Freddy Curci, Brian Howe, Lou Gramm, John Shclitt, Michael Sweet, Michael Matijevic, etc.

Mike has a vibrant and clean voice; sings in a tenor manner and possesses an almost 3 octave vocal range and is capable of reaching high notes. Mike covers different genres such as rock, pop, Jazz, etc. Mike has been performing gigs with different bands and at many places in and around the city.

Mike started singing in the church choir like other singers at the age of 9. At the age of 11 formed an acapella group called destiny (Gospel) and sang tenor & Soprano. At the age of 14 got his first guitar and learned to play it (self taught) and started solo performances with his acoustic guitar thereafter. There was no looking back from there on. Formed his first rock band at the age of 16 and has been singing from there on. Won many singing competitions during school and college days. Mike has been awarded:
