Tornadoes rip through Kansas and Missouri

At least one person was killed and more than a dozen injured when powerful tornadoes ripped through Missouri and Kansas late Tuesday .

Homes, churches and buildings were damaged across the area.

The death occurred when the storm swept through a mobile home park in Buffalo, Missouri. The name of the victim has not been released.

Damage was also reported in Branson, a tourist destination in southwest Missouri.
