It's also possible that Tom Hardy could appear as his live-action version of Eddie Brock, a.k.a. Venom, from Sony's Spider-Man Universe, as his reality was already visited by the Spot during Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. While Brock himself didn't appear, Peggy Lu's convenience store worker, Mrs. Chen, did have a cameo, so it's possible that a live-action Venom may appear in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Venom is a huge part of Spider-Man's story in Marvel Comics and has been featured in a variety of live-action Marvel media, so it would make sense for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse to feature the symbiote in some capacity.
Not much is yet known about the storyline of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, and the film was recently removed from Sony's release schedule after holding a previous release date of March 29, 2024. It's assumed that Miles Morales and friends, including Gwen Stacy's Spider-Woman, Hobie Brown's Spider-Punk, and Peter B. Parker's Spider-Man will be chasing down the dangerous Spot while also coming to terms with the existence of Miles G. Morales, Earth-42's Prowler. Even so, Spider-Man 2099 is sure to have a large role in the sequel, as he sees Miles as an inconsistency in the multiverse, which creates the opportunity for him to bond with the Venom symbiote.
