A man serenaded "polite and charming" Pippa Middleton at a Kensington restaurant.

The Princess of Wales' sister was out for dinner at Cambio De Tercio in Kensington, London, with her husband James Matthews and two of their friends.

A fellow diner plucked up the courage to sing Frank Sinatra's My Way to Pippa on his way to the loo.

The singer, Mark Lister, 66, said the "alcohol helped" and said he decided to break into song for a laugh and as an "apology" for not attending her wedding.

Dad-of-two Mark, a business owner, from Windsor, Berkshire said: "Alcohol helped massively. She seemed to be enjoying it a lot - I enjoyed it a lot.

"I went to the loo and I spotted her, so I said 'sorry I couldn't attend the wedding I will sing you a song instead' and she seemed to take well to it.

"It was a lovely atmosphere, she said thank you, and she was very polite and very charming.

"I absolutely love seeing and it was a pleasure to do it for her. She looked fabulous - she seemed to be enjoying herself."

The performance took place on June 14, 2017.
