French ski resorts in meltdown over "unjustifiable" festive season closure

"For us, this decision is unjustifiable": in Savoie, more than 600 people, representing the entire mountain eco-system gather in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, at the behest of mayors of the Haute-Tarentaise valley, to demand the right to work during the festive period. Due to fears over the spread of coronavirus the French government has demanded all ski stations close their lifts.
