May 2020 - The online concert, hosted by Keegan Michael-Key, featured performances by Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Jon Batiste, Robert Cray, Angelique Kidjo and more. The show included appearances from other celebrities including Bruce Willis, Danny Glover, Rosie Perez, and Jeffrey Wright.

Additionally, the program featured archival footage of performances by Patti Smith, Herbie Hancock, Brittany Howard, and others performing at JFA’s “A Great Night in Harlem” annual fundraiser events over the past years.

NYC VIBE was at the famed Apollo Theater last year for a great night honoring the legendary Tony Bennett.

All proceeds from the show go to JFA’s Covid-19 Emergency Musicians’ Fund, which was founded to support musicians who have been put out of work due to the pandemic.

NYC VIBE goes into our priceless vault to summarize the great work the organization is doing and look back at this week and last year!

“Support for #TheNewGig and the COVID-19 Musicians’ Emergency Fund offers them direct assistance and creates a sense of solidarity and hope in a time of despair and uncertainty.”
