MANILA – Eleven males, six of whom turned out to be minors, were rescued from a gay bar in Quezon City before dawn on Wednesday. City officials, social workers and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents raided Matikas Bar, located at the corner of Roosevelt and Quezon avenues, and rescued the 11 males, some of whom were caught performing half-naked. Six of the males were discovered to be minors. Some of them were found sleeping inside a room in the bar. Atty. Dante Bonoan, chief of NBI's Anti-Human Trafficking Division, said the establishment was also promoting prostitution. The male dancers were brought to the NBI headquarters while the minors were turned over to social workers. – report from Kori Quintos, ABS-CBN News
