Dating is hard, especially in China, where there are about 33 million more men than women. Some Chinese men are looking outside of the country to fill the nation's gender gap, and possibly a space in their hearts.

We went to a matchmaking event in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai where eligible Chinese bachelors paid $880 to try to meet the woman of their dreams.

Many of the women came from Russia and Ukraine, nations home to women that some Chinese men consider "exotic." We spoke to them and their possible future wives about why they chose to date across the culture gap.
