The Gentlemen Mutineers Release Detroit Throttle Recorded Live Inside 2014 Chevy Impala | AutoMotoTV
Many people sing in their cars, but few sound as good doing it as Frankie Turner, lead singer Detroit-based blues-rock band The Gentlemen Mutineers. Turner and the band, with the help of Grammy Award Winning Audio Engineer Mark Pastoria, recently turned the 2014 Chevy Impala into a "mobile studio" to record their party anthem "Detroit Throttle."

To give the song a Detroit vibe they were seeking, the band decided to record the song while driving around the city. Thanks to the Impala's quiet interior and noise canceling technology, Pastoria was able to record the chorus, harmonica and trombone tracks onto a laptop computer. The bustling city sounds of Detroit Tigers' game-day traffic, construction noise and live music in the park proved practically inaudible inside the car.
