Anti-LGBT group boycotts 'Beauty and the Beast,' makes rival animations

An anti-LGBT group is calling for a boycott against "Beauty and the Beast," since the film will feature Disney's first openly gay character. The Southern Poverty Law Center said the remake of the classic threatens "biblical truth" and pushes a "homosexual agenda" on children. Now, the American Family Association, a fundamentalist Christian group, is now raising funds to release their own animated film due to the boycott. The organization suggested that viewers see "Pilgrim's Progress" instead of the Disney remake. The suggested film currently raised nearly $63,000 on Kickstarter, and is set to debut in April.
