Frank Ocean's decision to go independent has already netted him $1 million

Frank Ocean recently made the decision to exit his contract with Def Jam by releasing two albums, and it's paying off nicely for him.
Since going full-on indie, Frank Ocean has made over $1 million dollars in the week following the release of Blonde.
Forbes has estimated that Ocean is receiving between $5 to $7.50 per album sale, whereas those signed to a major label earn between $1.50 and $2 each copy sold.
