Cheating husband’s slanderous mistress: Wife wins USD $2,500 in suit against mistress

In Taichung, central Taiwan, a woman suspected her husband of cheating on her so one day she and a friend followed her husband.
Indeed, Mr. Fu who was a career dentist, was cheating on his wife.
Mrs. Fu waited until her husband and his floozy had parked near a restaurant and then she confronted her husband on the street. As the argument escalated, Mr. Fu’s mistress chimed in and yelled at the wife: “You’re as fat as pregnant pig! It’s no wonder your husband won’t sleep with you!”
The argument continued for several minutes and attracted the attention of more than one bystander.
Eventually, Mrs. Fu would return home and sue the mistress for adultery, which by the way, is a felony in Taiwan, as well as for slander. She demanded USD $31,000.
Meanwhile, thanks to stress from her husband’s cheating, the lawsuit, depression, and anxiety all took a toll on her health and she lost 45 pounds within a year.
The mistress claimed that Mrs. Fu had also slandered her and Mr. Fu betrayed his wife by agreeing with his mistress. Unfortunately, for them some of the bystanders were willing to be witnesses and said that Mrs. Fu never said anything to the mistress, that she was mostly yelling at her husband for cheating on her.
One witness commented that he’d never seen such a bad mouthed and bad tempered mistress.
So the judge decided to grant Mrs. Fu USD $2,500 reparations for the slanderous remark of being “as fat as a pregnant pig”. Not bad. This little piggy is rollin’ in Benjamins, bi’atch!
