Drive to link voter ID and Aadhaar cards, gets huge response from Rural Ahmedabad - Tv9 Gujarati

Ahmedabad : Hoping to put an end to the rampant practice of bogus voting, the Election Commission (EC) has rolled out a drive to link the Electronic Photo Identity Card (EPIC), better known as the voter ID card, with the Aadhaar card. The drive has got huge response from Rural Ahmedabad.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has embarked the nationwide drive to link Aadhaar numbers with electoral rolls. The aim is to weed out multiple voter cards and bogus voters, and put in place an authentic database of voters.
