Why People Hate The USA

Politically, outsiders see the US going on about weapons of mass destruction, we must dispose of tyrants and stuff in Iraq. Don't get me wrong, Saddam Hussein was a tyrant but why focus on an oil rich nation? There is a sneaking suspicion (or for some a red flag) that the US was after the oil not the tyrant...

Business wise, the proliferation of McDonald's and Starbucks etc. Sometimes it's accepted better than others. McDonalds here in Australia is accepted, although there is a certain anti-McDonald's , anti fast food, anti multi national sentiment. Starbucks really struggled and most were closed (something like 60 out of 80 stores nationwide) here in Australia as Starbucks came in and expected to get a market dominance which never came primarily as they sold weird items and American coffee which is very weak compared to Australian coffee.

Entertainment musicians, TV, movies etc are common place here and most accept they're here. However it quite often marginalises local content and people want to see Australian product or others, not just American or "marketed" things (eg they want to see real bands with real musicians not The Spice Girls or Britney Spears or BSB or acts they see as put together by the marketing department - no offence to the above groups / people but some people want more "real" experiences) http://fullpakistani.com
