"Hunger Games" tops MTV Awards, "Mormon" takes Olivier

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" was voted 'movie of the year' and scooped top acting honors at the MTV Movie Awards. The second installment of the hugely popular "Hunger Games" franchise beat out this year's Oscar best picture winner "12 Years a Slave" in online voting that continued through much of the show. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson won best female and male performances for their roles as Katniss and Peeta. Lawrence did not attend the awards show however.

In addition to the top awards, Zac Efron won best shirtless performance and Jonah Hill won best comedic performance for his role in "The Wolf of Wall Street."

"The Book of Mormon" won best new musical at the Olivier Awards - Britain's highest theater honors. The show's star, Gavin Creel also took an award for best actor in a musical. The Best Actor in a Play went to Rory Kinnear for 'Othello;' he was up against the likes of Jude Law and Tom Hiddleston. Best Actress in a Play went to Lesley Manville for
